At the present time, however, the nightmare of the end of history continues on to its denouement. For now, the power of Spirit is, for most beings alive today, imprisoned within the shell of their ego. Because of its demonic nature, arrogance, greed, cruelty, hatred, deceit, lust, fear, anxiety, and despair are at their most extreme levels. All nobility has been lost. Civilization has cast off all traditional values, all trust of one another, and all faith in the saving grace of God. The only value now recognized is brute force, the assertion that might makes right. We are living under the dominion of the most vicious ruling elite in history, that has thrown off the fig leaf of freedom and democracy, instituting the open rule of ruthless and arbitrary domination— though their murderous edicts are still absurdly justified as being based on trust in science for the benefit of public health.
