The Double Cross

"Every nation which had an astronomical system, and especially India, held the cross in the highest reverence, for it was the geometrical basis of the religious symbolism of their avatars; the manifestation of the Deity, or of the Creator in his creature MAN; of God in humanity and humanity in God, as spirits.

The oldest monuments of Chaldea, Persia, and India disclose the double or eight-pointed cross. This symbol, which very naturally is found, like every other geometrical figure in nature, in plants as well as in the snowflakes, has led Dr. Lundy, in his super-Christian mysticism, to name such cruciform flowers as form an eight-pointed star by the junction of the two crosses — "the Prophetic Star of the Incarnation, which joined heaven and earth, God and man together."* The latter sentence is perfectly expressed; only, the old kabalist axiom, "as above, so below," answers still better, as it discloses to us the same God for all humanity, not alone for the handful of Christians. It is the Mundane cross of Heaven repeated on earth by plants and dual man: the physical man superseding the "spiritual," at the junction-point of which stands the mythical Libra-Hermes-Enoch.

The gesture of one hand pointing to Heaven, is balanced by the other pointing down to the earth; boundless generations below, boundless regenerations above; the visible but the manifestation of the invisible; the man of dust abandoned to dust, the man of spirit reborn in spirit; thus it is finite humanity which is the Son of the Infinite God. Abba — the Father; Amoria — the Mother; the Son, the Universe. This primitive triad is repeated in all the tbeogonies. Adam Kadmon, Hermes, Enoch, Osiris, Christna, Ormazd, or Christos are all one. They stand as Metatrons between body and soul — eternal spirits which redeem flesh by the regeneration of flesh below, and soul by the regeneration above, where humanity walks once more with God."

8 Pointed Star - Hen Day–End Day–Ande

"Mevryl makes one of his leaps, suggesting that the cause might be Hendaye’s closeness to the pilgrim route to the shrine of Santiago de Compostela in Spanish Galicia. He mentions Nicolas Flamel in passing and then focuses on the green-language meaning of the Hendaye name itself. He breaks it down into “Hen Day–End Day–Ande” or “Egg–Apocalypse–Mountain,” and suggests that this multiple meaning of the word Hendaye was a determining factor in its choice. And he squeezes in another reference to Flamel: “The Egg is the philosophical Egg of alchemy, reminding us of Flamel’s ‘little poulet.’ This place name demonstrates the presence at Hendaye of a double teaching.”

"The eight-rayed star would Reminiscent of both the ogdoad of Hermopolis, city of the god Thoth, or Tehuti, and the Gnostic systems of Basilides and Valentinus, the eight-rayed star would also become the special symbol of Mary, mother of Jesus. To the Pythagoreans it symbolized the regeneration of the cosmos, being, as Eratosthenes declared, the “double polarity of the elements, producing a stability.”⁵ The seventeenth-century alchemist Basil Valentine (note the combination of Basilides and Valentinus in his name) claimed that the eight-rayed star symbolized the philosophic mercury and the completion of the first stage of the Great Work.

We found that date displayed in the Saint Andrew’s cross of the upper cross, a symbol for the equinox alignment. The upright square cross, known, as Hewitt informed us, as the cross of Saint George (see fig. 11.15), is also displayed by the opposition of the east/west and north/south faces. The Saint George cross is traditionally used to mark the solstice alignments. The eight-armed cross, the Templar cross, is the combination of the two. Since our interpretation of the Hendaye cross evolves it into this same eight-sided figure, the unavoidable suggestion is that our equinox cross is the midpoint between two solstice events."

The scales typified that eternal equilibrium which is the necessity of a universe of harmony, of exact justice, of the balance of the centripetal and centrifugal forces, darkness and light -- SPIRIT and MATTER. Behold I show you a Sign

The cross in a circle is not only a spiritual symbol, it is also the astronomical symbol for our planet Earth. And, the term "Holy Cross" also means "Heavenly Cross"—referring to a cross found in the heavens. The cosmic significance of this symbol is that it marks the timing of a primary transition or turning in the natural evolutionary cycle of the Earth. Hidden within this symbol is an astronomical time-piece found in a specific geometric relationship between Earth, the solar system, and our galaxy—an astrophysical event occurring now, within Earth's ~25,000 year, precessional cycle.

Kalki (Destroyer / Bow & Arrow Symbolism)

Kalki (Devanagari: कल्कि; lit. destroyer of filth) is the nemesis of demon Kali and the tenth avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism, foretold to appear at the end of Kali Yuga, the present epoch.

The Destroyer - Pt 1 From The Great Scroll

"Men forget the days of the Destroyer. Only the wise know where it went and that it will return in its appointed hour. It raged across the Heavens in the days of wrath, and this was its likeness: It was as a billowing cloud of smoke enwrapped in a ruddy glow, not distinguishable in joint or limb. Its mouth was an abyss from which came flame, smoke and hot cinders.

When ages pass, certain laws operate upon the stars in the Heavens. Their ways change, there is movement and restlessness, they are no longer constant and a great light appears redly in the skies. When blood drops upon the Earth, the Destroyer will appear and mountains will open up and belch forth fire and ashes. Trees will be destroyed and all living things engulfed. Waters will be swallowed up by the land and seas will boil. The Heavens will burn brightly and redly, there will be a copper hue over the face of the land, followed by a day of darkness. A new moon will appear and break up and fall. The people will scatter in madness. They will hear the trumpet and battle cry of the Destroyer and will seek refuge in the denin the Earth. Terror will eat away their hearts and their courage will flow from them like water from a broken pitcher. They will be eaten up in the flames of wrath and consumed by the breath of the Destroyer.

Thus in the Days of Heavenly Wrath, which have gone, and thus it will be in the Days of Doom when it comes again. The times of its coming and going are known unto the wise.

The Sphinx - Father of Terror

What we know about the Sphinx’s names is summed up by Andrew Collins in Earthquest News: Andrew Collins Newsletter Vol. 12 No. 1 (May 2009), based in part on Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval’s 1996 book Keeper of Genesis. Hancock and Bauval note that its traditional 12th-century Arabic name was Abul-Hol (‘Father of Terror’), used by the writers Abdel-Latif and (later) El-Makrizi.8

Collins and Hancock and Bauval refer back to Selim Hassan, saying that foreigners known as ‘Canaanites’ (of Syro-Canaanite origin from the ancient city of Harran, now in modern Turkey) lived in Lower Egypt in the early second millennium BC and worshipped the Sphinx under the name Hwl. Collins has found New Kingdom inscriptions where the Sphinx is addressed as ‘Hauron’ (Horon/Chauron/Hwron) ̶ a Syro-Canaanite underworld deity. Hassan speculated that ‘Hauron’ was the origin of the Sphinx’s Arab name Abou-l Hwl, ‘Father of Terror’, interpreting hwl as a corruption of Hwron from the Semitic root hor = the bottom of a well, or hole, with abou a corruption of ancient Egyptian bw=place, therefore bw-hwron= the place of the god Hauron. Canaanite inscriptions mention Hauron being sent into the ‘chamber of darkness’, a form of underworld, to prevent demons entering the world.9

Collins says that among the civilizations of the Fertile Crescent, Hauron was identified with a deity called Nimru, meaning ‘panther’. In Akkado-Sumerian texts, Nimru was identified with a sky-figure in the form of a panther-griffin (half feline/half eagle) called UD.KA.DUH.A, made up of stars from the constellations Cygnus and Cepheus.10

The Ancient Egyptians called the Sphinx Hu and Hor-em-akhet ‘Horus of the Horizon’, a name originally linking the Sphinx to the rising sun.

The Kolbrin also says that the Destroyer appeared at first light (‘Then, with the dawning, men saw an awesome sight. There, riding on a great black rolling cloud came the Destroyer’25… at ‘the rosy dawning of a newborn day… at the night end of the skyroof appeared the dread figure.
