Draco Star Map Of The Serpent Mound

The Great Serpent Mound is a 1,348-foot-long (411 m), three-foot-high prehistoric effigy mound located in Peebles, Ohio. The mound itself resides on the Serpent Mound crater plateau, running along the Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. The mound is the largest serpent effigy in the world.

"The universal fame of Draco is closely related to its domination of the heavens thousands of years ago, and has, as such, influenced scripture and philosophy more than is generally understood. The very term "philosophy" carries at its hear the terms "ophi" and "soph" related to serpent and wisdom respectively. The Serpent Mound was apparently constructed on the basis of this constellation, albeit with careful thought, enabling its design to take into its folds many other aspects of the arts and sciences.

The Python of Pythagoras

"Pythagorean Theorem was particularly solid and interesting for the following reasons. For those who aren't familiar with this theorem, it reads: In a triangle owning a 90° angle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

But there seems to be something missing from the famous equation, something unseen that has carried the mysterious fragrance of the secret philosophy of Pythagoras down through the centuries. To this day a sensitive person may view the riddle of the theorem and detect the presence of a certain inexplicable spirit in the figure of the equation—a residue or trace hinting at the knowledge jealously possessed by the elite of the last golden age. This "spirit," I believe, is the image of the celestial serpent, template of heavenly Draconis. The Python of Pythagoras (a pet name—no pun intended I like to use for this geometry) utilizes the North Star alignment as the line separating the squares forming the right angle of the central triangle.

"Since the geometric star chronology of Serpent Mound predates Pythagoras considerably, one is caused to consider what seems unthinkable: not only did Pythagoras inherit the priceless theorem from a far more ancient source, but our illustrious Serpent is none other than the image of Python after which Pythagoras took his name.

Since we know that the philosopher was a great mathematical and geometric innovator, it stands to reason that he may somehow have come across this equation intact with its original tool-ruler. i.e., the Great Serpent. In fact, he may have somehow inherited a very rich tradition of astronomy, geometry, metrology, and mathematics in general from a resource as yet unknown, evident in the present collection be-fore the reader. What's more, he successfully encapsulated it all, with few suspecting that he was a link in the golden chain of the ancient wisdom. What was the first philosopher's source of information?"

This figure shows the astrological symbols identifying the three squares. The square of 6 on the upper left stands (or the Sun; the square of 8 on the right is holding the symbol for Mercury; and the lower square holds the symbol for the Earth. In the center is the symbol for Jupiter, which, although not depicted in its square form, governs the numerical attributes of the three sides as they loin to form the central triangle Considered by some to be the three most important divinities in support of Jupiter (Zeus), Apollo, Mercury (Hermes), and Ceres (Demeter), represent three stable principles of Olympian philosophy.

The 3-4-5 sides of the famous theorem's Mangle are doubled in this example to lend relevance to the Serpent overlay. The square of 6, known as the 'Square of the Sun: occupies the upper left of the equation. Since one of the interpretations of the Serpents position is its possibly swallowing or regurgitating the sun, this is an important key. The square of 8, known as the 'Square of Mercury' is on the upper right. Mercury carries the message of the light, and thus the neck parallels the square. The square of 10, called the Square of the Earth, assimilates all.

The Python of Pythagoras is exceptional in that it combines astronomy with geometry and measure to a very high degree of didactic art. It is extraordinarily sophisticated, yet deceptively simple. The North Star line, running from the tip of the tail to the eastern apex of the hollow triangular feature, perfectly separates the 6 and 8 squares. The small triangular feature, long a mystery in that it does not point to any known geo-astronomical or earthbound phenomenon, appears to point out the center of the west side of the six square-the "Square of the Sun' A line extended from the southeast side of the square of 8 meets the tip of the Serpent's tail, forming a perfect 36° angle. There are other interesting 'proofs' of the Serpent-theorem association as well, some perhaps yet undiscovered."

The Beast

Pythagoras as is well known, was named after the Python. This may have been his own idea, although in the story of his birth, his parents, Mnesarchus and Parthenis, are given credit for the naming after their consulting the Oracle of Delphi. The letters in the name of Pythagoras generally are summed up like this: Pi = 80, Upsilon = 400, Theta = 9. Alpha = I, Gamma = 3, Omicron =70, Rho = 100, Alpha =1, Sigma = 200. Adding all these together "Pythagoras" becomes valued at 864. This number has been termed "the Foundation", referring to the first philosopher's work being the basis for much of what has become mathematics, geometry, and natural science.

But this methodology of lending numbers to symbols had certain rules that could be interpreted according to the need. Overall, the science was called geometria, a term so similar to geometry that it is believed to have derived from the use of the geometric forms of the numerical or magic squares This coupled with the probable use of the squares to extract numbers for earth measurement (geometry) makes the derivation of the term seem obvious. The numbers 1 and 2, which could not have magic squares, had a broader and more manipulative use in additions Thus, the rho and sigma symbols, instead of being interpreted at 100 and 200, could become 1 or 2 as the need arose. A further explanation of this system is included in the last section. By simply altering the value of the final sigma in (Greek Pythagoras) from 200 to 2, the name of the philosopher changes radically from 864 to 666. the number of the Beast. After all, that's what Python was—the Beast."

... Was Pythagoras the name of that "man" or "human being" cited in Revelation 13:18? It should be considered as a possible fact, for scholarship is only now coming to grips with the influence of the Neo-Pythagorean School in that very well-concealed era preceding the Council of Nicea in 325 C.E. At that time, the Revelation was first standardized, having already been in existence some 229 years!

How often and to what extent it had been altered we may never know. In any event, such an example of what was later called "gematria" by the Jewish scholar-ship (who were also interested in symbol-number correspondence) went wholeheartedly into the Greek version of the Revelation. Subsequently, great repercussions ensued, for so strong was the belief in the kabbalistic word doctrine starting in the time of the early Church that great and serious sport was made in reducing one's political enemies' names to the "evil" number. So in spite of the fact that the 666 had originated as a simple addition of the square of six's 36 figures, the beautiful scriptural art rooted in the original geometria was lost to banal whims of the uninitiated.

This is evidenced in the Revelation wherein it is warned that the text should not be tampered with. Of course, the ecclesiastical editors would have nothing to do with keeping the integrity of such a potential instrument of finger-pointing as the Revelation. This is a very sad state of affairs in view of the various sects of biblical literalists so outspoken today, and who consider the Bible "the word of God."
