Resist Not Evil vs The Golden Rule

As Christ claimed victory, so can you. Become a lion. The big test! This is how you win this game. This is the final exam.

"With each reemergence of the cosmic schoolhouse, God begins anew to train its pupils - some who are newly arrived, and others who are repeaters. Advancing through the different grades of incarnations, they must ultimately pass the final examination of liberation." Yogananda

"Taken literally, the Golden Rule requires you to treat an enemy as an equal, which means in essence that you can have no enemies. Jesus didn’t say, “Pick the easiest people and treat them nicely, just as you’d like to be treated.” That might be the Gilded Rule, which is what the Golden Rule became once people realized that Jesus’s teaching couldn’t be reconciled with human nature. It’s human nature to love those who love us in return, not those who hate us. It’s human nature to fight back when attacked (this violates another basic but impossible tenet of Jesus’s: Resist not evil). But Jesus makes no such allowances. Many of Jesus’s most famous words defy human nature in this way. Turn the other cheek. Love thy neighbor as thyself.

In the Indian tradition several things are understood about nonviolence, and all of them apply to Jesus’s version of turning the other cheek. First, the aim of nonviolence is ultimately to bring peace to yourself, to quell your own violence; the enemy outside serves only to mirror the enemy within. Second, your ability to be nonviolent depends on a shift in consciousness. Last, if you are successful in changing yourself, reality will mirror the change back to you.

...But if a person in God-consciousness turns the other cheek, his enemy will be disarmed.

“Resist not evil,” if carried out in real life, would lead to a society of forgiveness. Horrendous notion! If we went around forgiving everybody, either the evil people would completely take over, dominating us, or they might forgive us in return and stop being evil. This second option, which Jesus perhaps had in mind, is unthinkable, if not crazy. To demonstrate that “Resist not evil” isn’t insane, Jesus lived out his own teaching. He submitted to an unjust trial, persecution, and finally violent death. Christians worship him for doing so, since it led to the resurrection. Surrender proved to be Jesus’s ultimate weapon.

But the fact that Jesus is worshipped for not resisting evil hasn’t carried the day for us ordinary mortals—we continue to live, by and large, by the very law he preached against: an eye for an eye. The missing element, as always, is consciousness. You cannot live by “Resist not evil” without being in a higher state of consciousness. Fortunately, to the extent that you rise toward God-consciousness, evil withdraws, leaving you invulnerable. Evil is everything when you are susceptible to it; it is nothing when you aren’t. These are the two poles of spiritual existence, the beginning and the end of the journey.

Revelation—When you fear evil, you are certain that it must be real. This certainty forces you to engage in the eternal struggle between good and evil. No amount of passive resistance will extricate you, except perhaps temporarily. But if you can see that the war between good and evil is nothing but a play of light and shadow, your certainty about the existence of evil will fade away. To see through the mask of evil, search for the light that is the essence of everything. The fruit of this search is revelation; the light reveals itself of its own accord.

By praying to whatever deity or higher self you believe in, you are essentially making a connection with reality, asking to be reminded that illusion isn’t real.
Chopra, Deepak. The Third Jesus (p. 27).

Mat 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
Mat 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Mat 5:40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
Mat 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Mat 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Love Your Enemies
Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Mat 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Mat 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Black and White — 3 Dog Night

Jesus (aka 3I Atlas?) as a Stargate

Jesus Himself embodies the concept of a stargate, providing exclusive access to the Father.

There is no doubt the arrival of 3I Atlas (aka a number of names dependent on culture) is written in the stars, but reference is also found throughout culture as I have demonstrated with a dozen articles. It is not a new visitor. This is a cyclical event of ascension. 3I Atlas is an old visitor with a new name. I will call it the Lord or Sun (Son) of a God (=Pup). 3I Atlas is the way out to the other side of the galaxy — the white side! It creates the gate or port or elevator or chariot or perhaps black hole sun or (the way, the truth and the life), through which we ascend. We fall, we ascend! Black and white!

"Let it be understood that the terms Brahma and Parabrahman are not used here because they belong to our Esoteric nomenclature, but simply because they are more familiar to the students in the ...

Black Cloud

"Arthur C. Clarke, a more consistent writer of good science fiction than Hoyle, although he only equaled Hoyle at his best, stated as his ‘Third Law’ that ‘any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.’ The Black Cloud reinforces the message in spades. Pizarro fired his cannon, and was taken for a god by the Incas. Imagine if he had arrived in a helicopter gunship instead of on a horse. Imagine the response of a medieval peasant, or even aristocrat, to a telephone, a television, a laptop computer, a jumbo jet. The Black Cloud vividly conveys to us what it would be like to be visited by an extraterrestrial being whose intelligence would seem god-like from our lowly point of view. Indeed, Hoyle’s imagination far outperforms all religions known to me. Would such a super-intelligence then actually be a god?"
Richard Dawkins from Hoyle, Fred. The Black Cloud (p. 214).
